First Results From SEO Booster
A few people have asked about the effect of the plugin, and the plugin was released the moment I had a working version, so it was not possible to tell.
The first result has just shown though, courtesy of Lars Bachmann, who installed the plugin and blogged about it as well. (Note, the site is in Danish)
To great amusement for him and his visitors, one of the results which was picked up by SEO Booster, was “nøgenbilleder sidsel”, as can be seen from the following screenshot.

For those who do not speak Danish (I do), “nøgenbilleder sidsel” translates into “naked pictures sidsel”. I have blurred the rest of his log.
The query was listed in the Widget for a while, until the search engines picked it up. He moved from page 2, to page 1, and is currently listed as the first place for that query on Google. There is not a lot of competition for this search query, so it is easy to be ranked for this, but it shows the power of SEO Booster Lite running fully automated.
The search query is no longer listed on his site, as SEO Booster has detected he has moved to page one, so there is no more need for the link.
As I have stated before, SEO Booster is not a golden answer to getting better rankings, but it can help tip the scale in your favour.

Do I understand it correctly that once the boost onto page 1 has been achieved these anchored links will be taken off again? How does it prevent you from fallinmg back to page 2 then? Or does it rinse and repeat whenever that happens? As a newbie Im not sure if I should use this plugin if google may penalize me later down the road.

You are quite right, it doesn’t. That is one of the features of the Pro version I am working on, which will have different ways of detecting and storing this.
The plugin does nothing “illegal” or “black-hat”, it simply automates a process which would be prudent to do anyway. However, if you are afraid of a potential penalty, you should not use it.
Any other users have any observations about the validity of the automated process this plugin makes?
I can confirm that we have had search results that have moved from page two to page one
(even though it is an odd one compared to our sites primary focus – “spærring media player”)

Thanks for stopping by and telling us! I can let you know that the upcoming PRO version will have an ignore list, so you can ignore searches such as that one. It will also contain a cron job that checks the EXACT rankings on Google for the keywords, not just which page they are coming from

anyway, i was also wondering what happens, when a post was boosted to page one and therefore the plugin removes the link to that post. have you found any solution that keeps the post from dropping back down into page two of the search results?
