I made an entry on the top 1000 WordPress Plugin developers list at #474 ! (And I even never heard about that page before, woops).

W-Shadow maintains  a list of the top 1000 most popular WordPress Plugin Authors. This list seems to be based on the number of actual combined downloads of all the authors plugins.

And here I am, at #474!

My first entry. In the top 50% of the list even :-)

So, you should really go there and check out the list, you’ll never guess who is in the #1 spot ;-) (And by a quite safe margin as well).

W-Shadow made this list back in march I think, it’s created using WordPress.org API for getting stats for each author and each plugin. List is updated once or twice a month.

And I am expected that much more people were downloading SEO Booster Lite, because it’s really great plugin and I use it on all my blogs.

BTW, I am 29-th on this list ;) .

Thank you for the kind words. And I will do my very best to progress to place #28! :-) Congratulations by the way :-)

I was actually thinking about a potential improvement for the list (this should be communicated to W-Shadow, I know), but perhaps a better algorithm would be based on the date of availability (the first version of the plugin) and then calculate the avg. downloads per day.

That would even the playing field so to speak, for people like me who got into the WordPress Plugin Authoring a bit later.

P.s.: I hope you are still up for that interview, I have just been too busy to properly prepare an interview with you.

…..

29? #€%#&#€!!! :-)

WordPress.org uses some average downloads calculations for most popular list, but definitively there is room for improvement. Anyway, it’s interesting to see these stats in one place.

As for the interview, no problem, when you get the time to prepare it, we can arrange it.
