myVideoPoster WordPress Plugin Sneak Peek
I have been working the last few days on a new upcoming plugin, myVideoPoster, for WordPress.
The Plugin can be set up to scan as many RSS feeds as you like, and post videos directly to your site. The plugin works as a “Virtual Blogger”, so there is no footprint, and when you deactivate or uninstall the plugin, the posts will still work.
You can use myVideoPoster to:
- Automatically create blog posts whenever you upload a video to Youtube!
- Add valuable content to your niche blog!
- Create self-running video sites gaining thousands of visitors!
myVideoPoster has a lot of features that sets it way ahead of the competition:
- Post from as many RSS Feeds from Youtube as you want!
- Define the posting interval and amount of the videos!
- Choose which category you want the videos posted in!
- Repost the comments from Youtube on your own blog! (optional setting).
- Can automatically create tags for the videos!
- Automatically optimizes the titles for better SEO
- Removes “stop words” known to be ignored by Google.
- Removes duplicate words from urls and filenames of the thumbnails (powerful SEO optimization).
- Downloads and saves the thumbnail images to your WordPress upload folder.
- Uses the large thumbnail size, 320×240 pixels!
- Renames the thumbnails for better SEO!
- Post info to Custom Fields. You can automate almost any WordPress Theme!
- Choose which user to post as!
- No footprint, no database bloating, after you remove it, it’s like it was never there, consider it your own personal virtual blogger!
A special thank you must go to Tony Lindskog of WP Views, who helped with the testing, and has even provided several test sites, one of which can be seen here: Different Videos. The site is totally self running, and all content, comments, tagging, etc. is coming via myVideoPoster.
The plugin will be made available in the next few days, stay tuned!
Mommy, I want this!
Hi June
I am happy to hear you are interested in the plugin (But please don’t call me mommy!)
I am working out the final kinks, and I am close to being ready to release it.
I do my best to have my plugins as well tested as possible, and any bug and/or feature that find its way into the plugin starts the testing process once again, hence the delay :-/
Looks like you might have something here. Will be interesting to see what just how must admin time will be need.
Hi Terry
I am working out the final kinks in the plugin. Once you have found the channels and/or users you wish to publish videos from on your own blog, the process is fully automatic.
You can also choose to create the blogposts in “draft”-mode, so you can review them before you publish.
