SEO Booster PRO has just been upgraded to version 1.7
This new version has a few bugfixes, feature enhancements and a BRAND NEW FEATURE!
- FIX: No more deleted posts will be displayed.
This could occur if a blogpost was deleted after it started receiving incoming search traffic. - NEW: seoboosterpro_boostlist() function now also uses the ignore-list from the settings.
This should have been implemented from the beginning, after requests from – amongst others – hifa, it has now finally been implemented. - NEW: “related:”-queries are now also ignored automatically.
Previously, “site:” and “cache:” was ignored, now also “related:” search queries from Google. - NEW: Removed the options for ignoring “site:”, “cache:” and number-only searches… Now all turned on by default.
Nobody wants these search queries to be “boosted”, however, they are still stored in the database to have the “full picture”. - NEW: Added optional auto-tagging of posts for incoming search queries.
Turn your tag archive into a self-updating search query database! Now, THIS is the MAJOR new feature of this release.
The feature has been testing for quite a while on a range of test sites, and the results are VERY interesting.If you turn on this feature:
- Someone searches for “swedish architecture” and lands on one of your blog posts.
- SBP automatically creates a tag for this blog post with the tag “swedish architecture”.
- If you have turned on the second feature, it will also search ALL OTHER blog posts that has “swedish architecture” in the title, the content or the excerpt, and add that tag to THOSE blog posts.
This means you can have a self-updating site, where the Google traffic automatically adds tags to your blogposts, which helps for better internal SEO, better related posts, and you can sit back and relax!
For users who have purchased a license before this feature was implemented, I have added a feature to tag your posts with the registered search phrases. This is a manual process, and is hardcoded to take at maximum 100 keywords to tag at a time. This is because the process can be very time-consuming on some blogs.
To access this feature, upload the new version, and go to the “Create Tags to Posts”-tab. Click the button, and after the processing is done, you will see a list of the tags added. Click this button to process the next 100 search terms.

It works like charm now and indeed this plugin boosts my visitors. great work.
for the auto tagging feature, I display tags in my posts as info. so should I disable it ? cos there will be lots of them I guess.

another feature request would be that control the list of incoming queries that we display in posts. google does not always send you visitors with excellent queries that are related to pointing posts.
So instead creating a general list of ignore list, I would appreciate if you could let us control each post’s incoming queries.
because sometimes there are some incoming queries irrelevant to that post, but vital for other posts. If i add that query to general ignore list, other posts will be affected from this too.
